Sony Ericsson have done what they did with there Vivaz and turned there Xperia X10 Mini into a messaging “Pro”; the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro is a mighty big name for such a tiny phone. The QWERTY keyboard only adds a few millimetres here and there and the weight has not been effected too much either. Like the Vivaz Pro, the keyboard has mounted on a slider mechanism, it can be accessed by flipping the phone to landscape mode and sliding the keyboard down from behind the 2.6 inch touch sensitive display.
The Xperia X10 Mini Pro is basically a slightly larger, messaging version of the X10 Mini, which in turn is a mini me version of the Xperia X10, the same sleek curved design is in place for comfortable handling and the same QVGA display is being used as the main portal into the phones intuitive interface. Unlike the regular X10 Mini the Pro is only available in a few colour variations; red, black or white. Sony Ericsson have maintained the Android 1.6 operating system to handle the phones main functionality, this means you get all the Google perks you could wish for; the Android Market is an online app super-store with thousands of downloadable applications for you to enrich your smartphone experience, Google have also delivered some of there great messaging and navigation services with Google Talk, Gmail and Google Maps. The same menu and widget system used on the X10 Mini has found itself duplicated on the X10 Mini Pro, and why not? They are both the same phone essentially. The four-corner shortcut feature allows you to place you favourite of most used widgets in the corners of the screen for immediate access to the feature you want. The TimeScape interface paints the screen is pretty shades of blue and delivers up to 20 main screens for you to scroll from side-to-side, and if you swipe your finger up on the screen you bring up an Android app draw with all the pre-installed or downloaded apps you have on your phone.
The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro performs very well in the web browser, the 600MHz processor makes for high speed browsing while the on-screen controls and Android WebKit browser allow you to zoom, pan and scroll with ease. Google have supplied users with there Google Search engine and a handy Bookmarks feature lets you save your favourite pages. The X10 Mini Pro relies on its Wi Fi technology for a web connection, it delivers a reliable and consistent connection providing you are nearby a local wireless hot spot. The device has also been set up with some location services; an in-built A-GPS supports the satellite based services like WisePilot and Google Maps to get you from A-B via the quickest route with WisePilot delivering turn-by-turn navigational advice. The QWERTY keyboard was included for a reason; the X10 Mini Pro hosts plenty of messaging and e-mail facilities for you to choose from, sadly you can’t operate more than one account at once but you do have a lot of choice of what account you want to manage from the handset. IM has also been given plenty of attention; a specified client has been included in the messaging hub for you to hold live conversations over the web with your favourite providers including MSN and Yahoo! Chat. The SNS support on the device is quite substantial with the TimeScape overlay providing a dedicated area where all of your friend’s social network information can be handled; sites like Twitter and Facebook are compatible with the client. The media and entertainment section of the phone are well covered by a 5 mega pixel camera which will handle stills and videos equally well, the music player can playback a number of audio codec while the video player performs much the same; playing back multiple video formats.
Sony Ericsson has successfully modified there Vivaz into a Pro device and they have seen equal success with the modifications they have made to the X10 Mini; the Mini Pro has superb support for communications with SNS, e-mail and IM just a few of the options aside from a simple phone call.

Sony Ericsson has given X10 Mini Pro users the opportunity to expand there memory space up to 16GB, this is great as the phone has a very good 5 mega pixel digital camera; it comes with both auto focus and flash and its very capable of high resolution video recordings, all of your captured material can be uploaded to your online networks and to YouTube with full mobile integration. The advanced music player is well serviced with the PlayNow Arena for downloadable music and it is equipped with a TrackID feature and Album Art.
As with all Android devices the X10 Mini Pro utilises the WebKit browser, it sports easy to use pan and zoom controls and allows you to bookmark your favourite web pages, so basically they have tried to make it function as a desktop browser would. The browser is supported by 3G and Wi Fi connections with both delivering high speed connection to the web; they are reliable and very consistent. Thanks to the intuitive TimeScape the X10 Mini Pro is optimised for social networking, all of your communications across your social networks and even e-mail accounts are collected and displayed in one easy to view stream, sites including Twitter, Facebook and MySpace are all compatible. Sony Ericsson have also built on the great messaging support provided by the QWERTY keyboard; you have full e-mail and IM coverage with all of the most popular providers accounted for, you can manage your accounts view inboxes and read attachments. Navigation services have been looked at too, A-GPS, Google Maps and WisePilot will always keep you on the right road and the phones USB connection mean you will have no problem in synchronizing your phone to your PC. Mini Titan E325 Review
Electric RC Helicopters are becoming all the rage. Keeping up with the trend, many RC giants have started producing electric helicopter models of their own. Finally, one of the biggest manufacturer, Thunder Tiger, is entering the arena. Having been so successful that their previous line, the “Raptors”, have set a standard in nitro helicopters, it is exciting to see weather their new model, the “Mini Titan E325″ can do the same for electric helicopters.
Revolutionary Frame Design:
Mini Titan’s frame design can be considered truly revolutionary with the most noticeable change being the position of the main gear and the battery. Whereas most other RC helicopters adopt the convention of placing the main gear on top and the battery pack below it, the Mini Titan’s main gear is positioned at the lowest possible point in the frame. According to experts, this type of configuration results in a much better roll and yaw response.
The battery’s position is equally unique. While most models place the battery pack at the bottom center, the Mini Titan’s designer boldly chose to place the battery pack at the very front of the model – mounted on an “L” shaped battery tray and suspended at a slanted angle. While some people may think that this type of battery placement will upset the overall balance of the helicopter, many avid pilots claim that the weight of the battery pack balances out with the weight of the receiver, gyro, and the tail boom to create a one of its kind center of gravity, which allows this helicopter to perform maneuvers exceptionally well.
Main Rotor Control System:
The Mini Titan adopts a 120 degree E-CCPM control system. The swash plate is made of plastic, but although that is the case, it is more durable and heavier than that of most other electric model helicopters. The thrust bearing main grip is of the same type that is used on large scale 3D nitro helicopters which provides precise pitch control. The swash plate also includes a red damper band in the center hub. This fact alone is not really worth mentioning, but the band is of really high quality and goes a long way on the impression factor.
Tail Drive Unit:
The tail system of the Mini Titan is one which truly throws normal convention out the window. The designers have managed to create a tail boom which can be removed and reassembled at will. This is possible because the tail drive system is isolated. As a result, to assemble or disassemble the tail boom takes less than a minute and requires only one screw – which allows this already small helicopter to be even more portable.
Motor, Servo, and Speed Controller Position:
The motor, servo, and speed controller are all positioned differently from other models. To motor is placed at a slightly forward position, but it is kept as close to the center as possible to counteract any rotational force. The speed controller is places at the front-most and lowest point on the frame. This position is claimed to be the most force-resistant as to protect the circuits of the speed controller in case of a crash. The speed controller and the motor are also located in a way that allows air, both from flight and from the rotor, to effective dissipate heat. Designers of the Mini Titan also claim that the new positioning of the servo mount will result in a faster and more accurate overall response.
In flight, the Mini Titan performs outstandingly. With its unique components placement, this helicopter is blessed with a unique center of gravity that allows it to be stable yet responsive. Its maneuverability is as precise and agile as that of a well-established nitro helicopter such as the Raptor. With all the above said, seeing and testing the Mini Titan in flight is breath taking. Unlike other Electric RC Helicopters that are well rated, this model is one that is truly spectacular. Once again, Thunder Tiger doesn’t fail to deliver.
